Outerhaven Dot Club 5 Year Anniversary Art (Standalone)

This was art I was commissioned to do by my Fedi instance admin Solid Sanek for the 5 year anniversary of the instance. I tried a lot of new techniques for this one. I started with a really rough sketch and then used a 3D model which I posed and drew over using the reference materials of Takimoto Hifumi from New Game! dressed like Big Boss from Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. There were also guidelines for the expression and pose. This took a ton of work and a ton of revisions. Sanek hadn't really commissioned for art much before and I had never drawn something quite like this. I think he was a little unhappy with how it turned out and I spent way more hours on it than I intended because of how much work I threw out. Still, I really think I learned a lot. My biggest regret is the face and that I never got to finish the background.
